The covid19 pandemic continues to escalate globally, except for China, which has reported having contained the virus.
In Uganda, as of today 30th, March 2020, the reported coronavirus cases have increased to 33. No death has been reported yet, which is very good news. The public is encouraged to be extra careful and follow government directives and personal hygiene.
The president has announced that he will be making an address to the nation to give an update on the state of the #covid19 in Uganda. Usually, the president has made addresses when new cases have been noted. We hope the numbers are still few and manageable.
The problem with #coronavirus is its ability to spread quickly which in turn overwhelms the health systems, especially where the patients require intensive care and life support. The Government’s timely interventions have helped contain the virus thus far.
But the problem is still huge.
