Theme: Securing the Future: AI, Awareness & Action
Every October, the world pauses to ask: Are we truly safe online? This year, Uganda stands united with the global community to fight back against cyber threats, armed with tools, training, and truth.
From CEOs to students, accountants to developers, everyone is the first line of defense. The Institute of Forensics & ICT Security (IFIS) invites you to join the movement as we launch a long campaign to raise awareness, strengthen cyber resilience, and equip organizations with practical skills to protect against ever-evolving digital risks.
In October, free cybersecurity training will be offered to staff in schools, banks, NGOs, and public institutions from 13th to 17th October, 2025.
On 16th October 2025, the Annual Cybersecurity & Risk Management Conference will take place at Speke Resort Munyonyo, bringing together global experts to explore AI-driven security solutions and share insights on building a secure digital future.
National cyber hygiene campaigns will also run across our social media Platforms and institutions to reach millions with essential cyber safety tips.
“It only takes one weak password… one wrong click… one untrained employee.” Cyberattacks are no longer the work of lone hackers.
AI-powered scams, ransomware, deep fakes, phishing, and data breaches are on the rise, and no one is immune. The cost of inaction is far greater than the investment in awareness and prevention.
From 1st to 30th October 2025, excluding weekends and public holidays, more than 50 organizations will join forces to stand against cybercrime and build a safer digital Uganda.
You can take part by booking a free awareness session today for your organization via https://forensicsinstitute.org/courses/international-cyber-security-awareness-month-october-2025/, sponsoring a session or campaign activity, or attending the flagship conference on 16th October this year: https://event.forensicsinstitute.org/.
Together, we can know the threat, train the team, and secure the future. Brought to you by the Institute of Forensics & ICT Security (IFIS), the training arm of Summit Consulting Ltd.
