This year is a special one for the hacking community. EC Council International, the brain child behind the Global Cyberlympics has partnered with ISACA, one of the leading IS/IT Certifications Body based in the US, to organise the 2014 Global Cyberlympics completion.

The world finals of the competition will be held in Barcelona, Spain on 29th September 2014 hosted by ISACA in conjunction with EuroCACS/ISRM 2014.

If you are into learning ethical hacking and cyber security, this is an event where the best of the best meet. You cannot afford to miss.

The Institute of Forensics & ICT Security, the training arm of Summit Consulting Ltd is the official EC Council Authorized Training Centre (ATC) in Uganda, we are the local coordinator of the Global Cyberlympics competition and are proud to advise you of free sponsorship to participate in the global competition.

If you are interested, come and register to participate in the global Cyberlympics. You must be 18 years or more, and very skilled in ethical hacking.

Come and put your skills to good use and get chance to compete with the best in the world. Global Cyberlympics is an online ethical hacking, computer network defense game, dedicated to finding the top computer network defense teams. Teams are made up of 4 to 6 players, and each round serves as an elimination round until only winning teams remain.

The top winning teams from every continent get invited to play the game live in person at the world finals. Global CyberLympics’ goal is to raise awareness towards increased education and ethics in information security through a series of cyber competitions that encompass forensics, ethical hacking and defense.

One key initiative for Global Cyberlympics is to foster an environment that creates child online protection through education. The mission statement of the Global Cyberlympics is “Unifying Global Cyber Defense through the Games.”

I.  Capacity Building:

We hope to discover new talents, methods and ideas; and to encourage development in the field of information security. It is our hope that besides discovering gifted hackers and cyber-defenders, the Cyberlympics will inspire the development of Information security professionals of the future.

II. Raising Awareness:

We hope to educate the global community, especially in developing nations and third world countries on the issues of Information security, and encourage further development of the field. We hope the Games will raise awareness towards increased education and ethics in information security.

III. Global Peace:

We hope to foster friendship and create cohesiveness between information security professionals, whether as an individual, representing a corporation or for a national agency, and encourage frequent exchange of essential information, technology and skills through the games.

IV. Child Online Protection:

Through supporting partners and raising awareness, we can foster an environment that creates child online protection through education.
