Are you a board member or an aspiring one? I know you are worried about #covid-19. But life must go on. Take a few minutes to read a foreword extract by Professor Stephen K. Nkundabanyanga, a corporate governance expert. “I graduated from Makerere University with a PhD in board governance and firm performance in 2013 and now work as a Professor of Accounting and Governance at Makerere University Business School. So I am an author myself, editor, and reviewer for respected Journals and books. I have also served on some Company Boards. But the book, “7 Tools of an Effective…
Couple 1: The ever-traveling consultant
It was my grandfather who liked to say “strangers in love never last once they get to know each other well.” This was a man of wisdom informed by years of experience. He had seen it all – a world war II veteran, who lived a humble life later in his evening years. He had survived the war. Apparently, it is easier to dodge bullets than thirst, he often said. “if you are truly thirst, you cannot settle in one place. You must move out of your hiding to search for something to drink. Better die of a bullet than…

Back to the home front
The kids are back home and it is like an attack of sorts. I am trying to find the discipline of implementing a typical school program at home. Wake up at 6 am. Bath. Go to school (I mean the reading room). Have a break at 10 am. Go back to class (reading room) at 11 am. Study up to 1 pm. Get a lunch break and return to class at 2 pm. Study up to 3 pm and go for sports. And at 4 pm, come back home. That is my strategy. After all, I am called Mr Strategy.…
Go away, COVID-19!
They say death is the only equalizer for mankind. It fears no one. No one has ever left life alive. Whether you travel abroad or live in Uganda, a day will come, when your body will become lifeless. Libraries are full of great men ever lived. So many powerful kings. No one ever defeated death. Certain death is, but the timing not. Each one of us wants to live longer. To see more of the future. What will the world be in ten years? How will the children and the great-grandchildren turn out to be? What is the next big…
Tool 82 of 104 is to believe
As Jesus went along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked him, ‘Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, for him to have been born blind?’ ‘Neither he nor his parents sinned,’ Jesus answered ‘he was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him. ‘As long as the day lasts I must carry out the work of the one who sent me; the night will soon be here when no one can work. As long as I am in the world I am the light of the world.’…
