For any dynamic organization, the management of Public Relations is a key priority for its Board. Many Board members lack the skills they need to succeed in positively influencing public perceptions.

In today’s interconnected world, businesses are increasingly becoming digital and technology trends including all forms of social media have become a major boardroom affair today, than ever before. In these #covid19 times, your organization must attain the critical social media digital skills for the effective execution of its mandate through strategic social media engagements with key stakeholders. And for this reason, training in social media and cybersecurity for the board and top management would be adequate to be delivered via digital channels like zoom or Google teams’ platforms.

Board members must be aware of basic cyber hygiene and social media etiquette. You have seen some board members posting content on their social media accounts that could threaten the image and reputation of the companies on which they serve as board members. There is a need for some moderation.  With the increasing need for remote working and online meetings, board members must appreciate cybersecurity risks that arise therefrom.

The objectives of the training are:

  1. To create awareness on the role of the Board in public relations, as well as empower the board to embrace social media tools in strategic communications
  2. To train the Board on how to create and add value through the use of technology and social media platforms for brand equity
  3. To create awareness on Cybersecurity and Online reputation management, and how to respond in case of a problem
  4. Share case studies and discuss the best social media strategy that is transformative and value-adding to the companies on which they serve as board members.

All impactful training starts with understanding the trainee’s business needs and training gaps. We then co-develop a curriculum to close the gaps and deliver value. We then assemble a team of people with varied expertise to conduct the training.
